Instant Pot -can you smell the food cooking?

Hi,
I'm very tempted to get an instant pot. For the winter stews and rice making ability alone.
However I have a slow cooker - and I really would like NOT to be able to smell the food cooking throughout the house.

Can you smell the food in the instant pot?

Not to the same extent no. Sometimes whilst it's getting up to pressure as air can still escape before the vent seals. But far less smelly and just for a short time if at all I'd imagine that if you were using the slow cooker function on the IP that it might still smell as the seal isn't used? But haven't tried that function. Prefer to use pressure for stews etc.

OK. So I might need to use the pressure cooker instead of the slow cooker function more often.

I've never used a pressure cooker.

Can you program it to start at a certain time etc? Eg if you'll be out for the day and want dinner ready when you get home
