I do

babydrac only has water, milk and diluted juice occasionally

skirmish · 19/06/2007 11:50

don't see the problem if it is really diluted...loads of things that we feed lo's have more sugar in them

CountessDracula · 19/06/2007 11:51

well I just don't really see the point of squash
it tastes horrid
As dh and I don't drink it we never buy it therefore babydrac doesn't have it

If she is ever offered a drink she chooses water

nickytwotimes · 19/06/2007 11:51

mine does to countess. i mean, when he is at school, he can have things (yes, even fruit shoots!)for treats now and then, but i never got squash as a kid.

OK yes- its no crime

ideal, no. Watewr is by far the best.

DS1 wont drink water- now when I say won't, I mean asd, had an ambulance on standby he was that dehydarted etc. I dont care what he drinks (very rarely fizzy) although try to keep it best quality I can afford.

DS3 also refuses water, is asd and I refuse to get into the fighting with him.

DS2 however is NT, drinks water and milk, and gets those plus fruit juice most of the time.

they did only have milk (wter for ds2) or diluted fruit juice when they were age of the OP though.

CountessDracula · 19/06/2007 11:52

she will happily hoover up all sorts of shite to eat though!

nickytwotimes · 19/06/2007 11:53

thing is, skirmish, it's not really the sugar that i would be concerned about. in fact, not enetirely sure what i would be concerned about

oh yes taste of childhood, warm squash in a plastic bottle. vom. i expect ds has tasted it at playgroup or whatever, but i have no plans to buy it. water in our house too.

skirmish · 19/06/2007 11:54

oh...i thought it was the sugar thing that everyone got worked up about

ktmoomoo · 19/06/2007 11:54

my kiddis love water and when out and given free choice they still chose water

nickytwotimes · 19/06/2007 11:55

it does taste pretty boging, doesn't it?

much prefer the sugar variants to be fed to the kids over the artifically poisonous type

they are given it at our school. I ahd to get a letter from a PAEDIATRICIAN to stop ds1 being given the savers variety (i provide juice) bt DS2 I have no choice over, head refuses to p[rovide the free milk she has been offered.

nickytwotimes · 19/06/2007 12:04

i agree re the suger/sweetener peachy.
