Need a dessert recipe that will travel!

Going to a friend's house for dinner on Tuesday night and need to take a dessert/pudding that serves 4. Should be something a bit fancy. I will be cycling/going on the train/walking to their house so it will need to be something fairly sturdy OR something I can put together when I get there. I am hopeless but keen! Any ideas?

Brioche bread and butter pudding? Pre-slice, mix eggs and stuff in advance and transport in jar then assemble and bake when you get there.
Clotted cream rice pudding? That's pretty stable if you do the baked kind.
Something like a Charlotte Russe that you can un-mould when you get there?

This clafoutis recipe would be easy to transport and assemble when you get to your friend's. Make the batter at home and put in a jar for your journey, along with punnets of fruit. All you need to do is tip the batter over the fruit and put in the oven! www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3101/fruit-and-almond-clafoutis
A Bakewell tart is fairly sturdy and travels well.
Eton mess travels well too. Or could be easy to assemble once you arrive. There are loads of recipes for fancy versions; at Christmas I like to spike the cream with Bailey's! I've also seen a recipe for tropical mess with meringue, coconut cream, lime syrup and chunks of pineapple.
A steamed sponge pudding could be transported in the pudding basin and reheated when you arrive. I like this ginger recipe www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/ginger-syrup-steamed-pudding/

Lordy I wouldn’t stress trying to carry it

Def assemble it there. Nothing ever looks as good once it’s travelled and puddings is all about what they look like - even if it’s a sprig of mint and a sprinkle of icing sugar.

I’ve done pavlovas, transported in Tupperware and then sliced fruit and whipped cream once I’m in situ. With a glass of wine, obvs.

So do whatever you fancy really!
