JoanCrawford · 08/06/2007 20:16

yes, yes and er, yes. Every bloody time!

tombley · 08/06/2007 20:16

Urgh! No!
My ds(2) leaves nothing recognisable never mind appetising.
DD(5) leaves nothing.

WaynettaSlob · 08/06/2007 20:16

Yes - which is why 18mths after DS2 was born I still look like I did a week after he was born!!!
I know someone who used to put washing up liquid on the leftovers so she wouldn't eat them....and she was really skinny......hmmmmmmmmmm

nickytwotimes · 08/06/2007 20:17

my ds's food is better than mine - it is a treat to eat his leftovers!

chipkid · 08/06/2007 20:17

I sometimes do an extra fishfinger to keep me going until I can ransack their plates!

PestoMonster · 08/06/2007 20:26

I do that too Chipkid! I love cold ones

twinsetandpearls · 08/06/2007 20:26

too often!

AlistairSim · 08/06/2007 20:28

I would if the gutty little hog ever left anything....suppose I could lick the smears off her face...

twinsetandpearls · 08/06/2007 20:30

I get in there before the dog!

fizzbuzz · 08/06/2007 21:07

Sometimes I eat them before they are actually leftovers

Dp much worse and ate all dd's homemade sausages before she even tasted them!

whomovedmychocolate · 08/06/2007 21:09

I'd have to fight the cat for them...so no!

iota · 08/06/2007 21:09

not usually, but did eat ds1's bread and marnite breakfast the other day - he went to school on an empty stomach - his choice

walbert · 08/06/2007 21:11

I'd eat anyone's leftovers. Never mind the kids. Once went round table at a wedding to scoop up all left over roast potatoes only to find my mate had got there first! Bah!

kittyhas6 · 08/06/2007 21:24

yes, it's often the only food i get

Malaleche · 08/06/2007 21:27

only if its pasta or im very hungry, i find the idea of eating someone else's saliva a bit revolting, but for some reason if its pasta with cheese on it doesnt count!

olliebird · 08/06/2007 21:31

yes, even the crusts of their toast! good for them to see someone else is after their foor. I always give myself a small portion because I know i will get a second and third in the form of their leftovers.

tigerschick · 08/06/2007 21:32

Always!!
Tho had to hold back recently as she got into the habit of stopping then starting again
It made me feel guilty when I'd polished it all off and then she was hungry

kimi · 09/06/2007 20:18

chevre · 09/06/2007 20:20

used too until i found myself a size 18. it is the road to ruination.

MadamePlatypus · 09/06/2007 20:22

Absolutely. Particularly sausages.

christywhisty · 10/06/2007 00:30

I have come to the conclusion that its basic instinct, going back to the stoneage when mums would probably gather the foods, feed children first then finish whats left, only my theory not fact
I remember reading that Cheryl Baker (i think it was her from Bucks Fizz) used to smother her twin's left overs in salt so she couldn't eat them
