Chinese curry ideas, please?

DD (7) and I love curries. Indian curries. We have curry night once a week. Sometimes I make one from scratch, or use a jar or a shop bought ready meal depending on time constraints.
DD's friend only likes Chinese chicken curry. So, at a recent play / dinner date we gave it a go and ordered in from the takeaway. It was fab. We'd like to try it again but make it at home. Any suggestions for recipes? I'm happy to use a jar or packet or cook from fresh (Just a bit spendy from the takeaway every time!)
Thanks!

I haven't cooked it, but Jack Monroe has one here.

The Mayflower Medium curry sauce is exactly like a Chinese curry. I cook chicken chunks with onion and peas while making the sauce on another hob. Mix together and it's so authentic - we had it on Friday and DS actually thought it was from the Chinese.

This one has good reviews and looks pretty quick and easy www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chinese-chicken-curry

Thank you!
The Jack Monroe recipe looks like something I could cook at the weekend.
Would I need to buy the Mayflower sauce online, do you know? Or is it available in supermarkets?
I looked at the BBC recipe but the curry powder ingredient puzzled me. I associate curry powder with Indian food so wondered if I need special Chinese curry powder.
Haha, I am so over thinking this!

You get the Mayflower powder in Home Bargains, B&M or Farmfoods. It's in a box.

Goldfish Chinese Curry Sauce is available in Tesco and really good.

I agree that mayflower is the way to go! I use it as a mid week staple with chicken fried rice. Best ‘fakeaway’ according to the boys in my house!
