Help!
I’m having a birthday party from 3pm onwards in a few weeks mix of children but mainly adults. About 50ish people coming throughout the course of the day.
Last year I ended up standing by the bbq all day, so this year I’m going to do a buffet / spread can anyone help with food suggestions?
I’m running out of ideas! Also have a very small kitchen and oven! 🤪

If people are coming throughout the day, I'd suggest you do cold food only.
Earlier in the summer we were invited to a garden party where there was a fancy 'DIY sandwich bar'. There were 4 bowls of different rolls/ bagels / pittas and a board of sliced bread. Then there was a large platter of sliced cooked meats such ham, smoked salmon, chicken and pastrami and a platter of sliced cheeses. There were also bowls of sliced cucumber, tomato and lettuce, and several ramekins of butter and condiments such as mayonnaise and mustard. I think there was some coleslaw and tuna mayo too. It was really successful.
For pudding they had done a fruit platter with slices of watermelon, pineapple strawberries etc... and a tower of chocolate brownies.

Will you be able to seat people or do you need finger food, or thinks that can be eaten with a fork?

Can seat people and have cutlery!

Could you borrow a couple of slow cookers? Then you could have a couple of curries/stews/chillis/whatever and then have bread, bowls of salad, piles of either pakora or sausage rolls or somesuch, crisps or poppadoms or tortillas depending on which would go best.

That makes it easier, roast and carve a large joint of gammon. Big potato salad, green salad, tomato, basil and mozerella salad with balsamic and a roasted veg and cous cous salad, coronation chicken (retro but always popular.) A couple of big quiches including a veggie one. French sticks and cheese.

I’ve done the create your own sandwich thing before and it was really successful. I just bought part bake rolls from Aldi and cooked them throughout the day. I did one hot filling (pulled pork in the slow cooker) and 3 cold.

Buffet wise cheese board and cured meats is always popular.
