Tell me what is the most amazing £10 red or white wine

It's been a year since I've had a few drinks (pregnant then looking after newborn).. so when I eventually do get to have a few glasses of wine I want to make sure it's delicious and not a complete waste of a 'night off'!

What would be your favourite red/white for around £10?

Red: I like Rioja, Malbec, Merlot
White: Pinot Grigo, Sav blanc

White = Mud house Sav blanc if you like dry and but very fruity or if you like less fruit then Oyster bay or another vote for Villa Maria
Red= Malbec - king of wines. Always from Argentina. Look for Mendoza /St Julian region

I'm currently having a love affair with Californian Zinfandel.

Majestic stock a couple of nice options. This one is very good and excellent value at £8.Nettie
I also buy this one which is more expensive but even more delicious.

Villa Maria sav blanc,could drink it all day

Like the two reds I listed, this is a really crisp, mineral ly white that tastes like it cost twice as much.

Campo Viejo White rioja is often good, too. The red isn't bad, but the odd bottle misses the mark. We very un-PCly call it good old queer.

Another great white I've had from Sainsburys is Most Wanted Albarino for £9

Also i have enjoyed a couple of bottles of a lovely Albarino from Lidl this past week.

There's a lovely Faustino white Rioja on sale in Aldi for £6 at the moment.

I usually buy their New Zealand Pinot Gris (£5.79 I think?) or Co-Op sell a Hardys Chardonnay Pinot Grigio for £6.99 which is also really nice

Co-op do a Malbec with a cow on the label which is about £8 and is lovely.

I've just had the cow wine and really didn't like it. I'll drink most things but this one just haf a sour taste. I'm sure I've had it before though so might have been a bad bottle

I haven't had a bad one, but tend to switch to white in the summer so not had a bottle of it since April time.

Just to prove I do not have expensive tastes this is the wine I'm about to open

Soldiers Block Malbec. But you know you can have a drink or two when looking after a baby? Even if you are breastfeeding. No need to wait for too long!

Vila Maria Sauvignon Blanc

I really like oyster bay. Another marlboro s.b.
Red I'm not as fussy about as I'll drink most ha. Aldi do a Chilean malbec for about 4 or 5.99 and it's really nice.
If you can find it as i never can any more brown brothers dry Muscat was a huge hit in our house for many years.

Waitrose own Sauv B, Marlborough (NZ). It’s delicious and I don’t even particularly like white wine. £7.99 a bottle I think!

Jammy Red Roo is lovely, like alcoholic ribena! Tesco also sell one called Jam Shed which is very similar, and usually a £1 cheaper....they tend to be £7/8

Both the reds they sell to go with their Finest MealDeals are pretty easy drinking too.

Coop Chablis. It was £10 when we lived in UK 6 years ago. They still sell it as DB often has it in, but price may have gone up. It's an excellent wine, I really recommend it.

The Sainsbury's Languedoc that PickAChew mentioned is a favourite of ours too and it's reduced to £6.25 at the moment and if you buy 6 or more bottles of wine you get a further 25% off making it a little over £4.50 - pretty amazing value I'd say.

@MsHomeSlice I love Jammy Red Roo, perfect with steak, my DH hates it though and says it's too sweet.
I love the barefoot reds - Shiraz, Merlot and the Malbec are really good for under a tenner.
