Marksies fruit and veg

I currently do my big shop in Sainsbury's (get meat elsewhere) as we make good use of the home delivery service (can't face doing a big shop with toddlers in tow). I cook a lot from scratch, so not really into ready meals, although I would be tempted by M and S salad and lunch bits.

Is it worth me swapping over to M and S for my shop, which is mostly food cupboard staples, fruit and veg and things like toilet roll?

I expect to be more expensive than Sainsbury's, but is it really THAT much more so? Does the increase in quality justify it?

Would you buy M and S meat or butcher meat?

Thanks

I buy chicken and fish in M&S & don't think it is v expensive, £10 for around 7 BSCB & £13 for at least 5 salmon fillets but I tend to buy when on special. Salmon is cheaper than Waitrose.

Fruit & veg are a little more expensive but always nice.

Discounts with the yellow labels tend to be good.

I find doing a food shop in M&S is like trying to do one in Aldi, you can't get everything that you need and you end up buying loads of unnecessary stuff and nothing to make an actual meal!

I do go at Christmas to stock up on 'nibbly bits' though!
