Dish left out overnight - ok to cook?

Dish prepared yesterday and left out over night. It will be baked today for 30-45 mins. Contains already cooked chicken, which will now be reheated/baked with the rest of it. Is it safe to eat, given that it will be cooked? (I didn't make it but it will be on offer for lunch and slightly concerned. It has been in a room that would normally be v cold but is only cool as compared to everywhere else in this weather)

Normally I'd say yes, but in this weather I wouldn't risk it, unless the room it was left in was actually cold.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 01/07/2018 11:02

No.

Not in this heat, esp. with chicken/meat.

DramaAlpaca · 01/07/2018 11:03

I wouldn't risk it in this weather either.

Yogafire · 01/07/2018 11:06

Even if it's now baked at high temp? Arghh, it's a relative and they spent yesterday pm preparing it for today, so awkward

Nope, it's too big a risk.

Slartybartfast · 01/07/2018 11:08

just take the chance then, nuc it in the oven

formerbabe · 01/07/2018 11:09

No way!

Icklepickle101 · 01/07/2018 17:10

Not in this weather. If the house was around 10-15 degrease then probably, but at the moment definitely not

BrownTurkey · 01/07/2018 17:20

No

BertieBotts · 01/07/2018 17:21

I would. It will be totally fine. Make sure it's heated through.

TeenagersandFurbabies · 01/07/2018 17:24

So did you risk it and eat it or did you bin it and make something different?

NorthernSpirit · 01/07/2018 17:24

No way.

I cooked a chilli this week one eve. Left it in the job overnight. When I turned it on the next day to heat it was covered in mould. Our kitchen is 27 degrees hot during the day. It’s the same as leaving foot exposed in hot temperatures. There is no way I would risk eating poultry that has been left out.

Bin it luv
