I normally just put butter in the pan and pop it. Have never been able to work out how to make it sweet without burning the sugar and making it all black.

i use oil, am using groundnut oil at the moment, layer of popcorn.
in a separate pan butter and sugar.. then i make two bowls, one with the buttery sugar and one with salt. can't decide which i prefer, so go fromone to the other.
yummy.
in our house all gone in 10 minutes flat

cover the bottom of the pan with oil and leave one kernel in there. Once that kernel has popped you pour approx 1 deciliter kernels in. put lid back on and wait until there is no more popping. Remember to "shake" the pan a few times once the popping starts.

sprinkle salt on whilst they are still warm.

you can also pour melted butter over them.
