i do roasted veggies on the BBQ - with the root veggies i do parboil a bit first before putting on a skewer (basted with olive oil, lemon, black pepper)

Never tried but they're a root veg so I don't see why not. Maybe dribble with honey, sprinkle of thyme and wrap in tin foil?

I've never done parsnips (can't stand them), but I've done mogo, which is a simialr sort of thing. You need to parboil until nearly cooked, otherwise they won't be nice. Ginger goes well with parsnip.

Id avoid honey personally, since parnsips are already fairly sweet.

It could work ... but they'd need to be almost soft before you put them on. I think they'd take an eternity otherwise.

oliveoil · 23/05/2007 14:53

absolutley not, it is against the law

AnnabelCaramel · 23/05/2007 14:53

you can do parsnip crisps. just slice really really thinly, brush with oil and go.

Sunshinemummy · 23/05/2007 14:54

Honey and parsnips go really well together. Normally I roast them in the oven though.

AnnabelCaramel · 23/05/2007 14:54

...but like oliveoil says, it is illegal so do it secretly.

Thank you! I will give it a go.
