How do you cook Goose eggs?

DD tried to poach hers in the microwave but it wasn't a success

DH is frying his

But DD prefers poached... can it work

Goose egg is about 5.5 ounces!

Yes you can poach them but you would be better doing it in a saucepan on the hob than in the microwave.
Personally I love mine scrambled - utterly delicious

French toast for DS, poached for me, fried for DH. I didn’t even know you could poach an egg in a microwave. Won’t it explode or go rubbery?

Goose eggs are marvellous for brownie baking - they have a higher yolk to white ratio so make a lovely dense rich cake.

(if you use them in sponge cakes add an extra chicken egg white for every 2 goose eggs)

I just simmer water in a saucepan and break the egg into it!

Some people swirl the water, says it keeps the egg together. Some use a metal pastry cutter in s shallow pan of water and break it into that (probably need a lid) to get s nice shape.
