Recipes for different kinds of machine here
HTH

Order of ingredients should be added (for my machine at least) is -

Water, butter, salt
then
Flour, milk powder, sugar
then
yeast (on top in a hole in the flour).

Flamesparrow · 17/05/2007 17:14

Ooh thanks - does it have to be milk powder? no rl milk??

Didn't paste a recipe as you have had other links - can use drop of milk instead of milk powder but replace part of the water with milk so same volume of liquid, iyswim.

Important thing is to keep wet stuff, sugar and salt well away from dry yeast - so ensure yeast on top of flour.

Also i've found amounts of salt and sugar recommended in recipes a bit ridiculous - and never put in more than a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt. Always good results.

Does it tell you on top of machine what the different settings are for? I'd guess that setting 1 is your basic loaf - generally is - and most likely takes approx 3hrs.

Flamesparrow · 17/05/2007 17:27

Thank you!!

I will play in a min

I think it does give some settings of some sort - i'll aimlessly press buttons

I've never tried real milk as I think the instructions on my machine said not to, but sounds like flatmouse has tried it and it worked OK.
As she says, must keep yeast away from salt, sugar and water.
