Tell me what your children are eating next week

I must have spent four hours staring blankly at shopping list trying to plan meals for kids (6, 3) next week. They're not overly fussy, just typical children. I cannot think of anything other than the same things I seem to give them every day.
PLEASE - tell me what you are cooking next week so I can copy without thinking about it any more.

Ours eat the same as us, we either reheat ours later or just cook our portion later (stir fry, fajitas etc)

Kids easy veg chow mein (bbc recipe)
Jacket potato with cheese and beans
Tortilla pizza and wedges
Chicken korma and rice
Ham and pea risotto with poached egg
Cauliflower wing tacos
Roast chicken dinner

We all eat the same. I need to start thinking about it as need to get back into back to school mode and get myself to the shops as our cupboards are empty!

Today: Mac n cheese
Saturday: probably pizza from wood fired pizza man nearby
Sunday: roast chicken & all the trimmings
Monday: roast chicken and pea (+maybe leek) risotto if there is enough chicken leftover
Tuesday: teriyaki salmon, stir fried veg & rice or noodles (BBC good food)
Wednesday: maybe something with minced beef possibly the hob to table moussaka from BBC Good Food with salad
Thursday: usually takeaway or going out day
Friday: have the day off and will probably find a brand new recipe to try

We might also have the following easy dishes that everyone likes on other working days:
Sausage tray bake (Mary Berry)
Spaghetti with peppers and chorizo (BBC Good Food) or many other pasta dishes
Nigella's chicken thighs baked with leeks and peas (a recent addition to our regulars)
Chorizo or bacon and tomato risotto (BBC Good Food)
Chicken, brown rice, pepper and chickpea bake
Thai chicken rice (BBC Good Food again!)
Lorraine Pascale's sweet and sour meatballs
Any meat with Jamie O's potato, swede, carrot and chives mash (original recipe with salmon but we prefer it with meat)
Sea bass with puy lentil salsa from Delia's how to cook
Pork shoulder, cider and creme fraiche casserole
Steak + chips/wedges and veg
Chicken skewers (marinated in herbs and yoghurt) with Greek salad and crunchy pots

If I ever ask DH's opinion, he always suggests sausages, so sausage with mash or jackets + veg always an option.

Pasta with 5 veg sauce

Chicken and veg stir fried rice

Fish curry

Fish pie with peas and sweet corn

Chicken veg noodles

Pizza

If I ever ask DH's opinion I don’t do that either Chew. We have a fairly good arrangement where I don’t ask and he eats whatever I cook which means we get to eat what I like most of all the time Smile

ladymelbourne1926 · 13/04/2018 20:41

We all eat the same but on the list for next week is:
potato koftas and curry
Veggie tagine and pita bread
Baked Cauliflower and veg
Sweet corn soup and corn bread
Tandoori tofu
Black bean stew and flatbread.

TryingToGetFired · 13/04/2018 20:41

If I had to cook twice every night I’d be sobbing. I'd be sobbing and we'd all be eating crap food too.

CocoPuffsInGodMode · 13/04/2018 20:44

Cheesy stuffed peppers with sweet potato wedges and salad
Veggie sausage casserole with mash
Prawn and veg fajitas
Tomatoey baked eggs with chickpeas and veg - it's basically a chunky ratatouille with chickpeas added then make little hollows for the eggs. Lovely with some toasted sourdough!
Salmon & roast veg (with a little fajita seasoning), rice

gaggiagirl · 13/04/2018 20:44

We all eat the same. Kids are 1,2 and 6
Bacon pasta
Haddock rice thingy
Chili and wraps
Asian fried chicken and slaw. Probably with chips.

calzone · 13/04/2018 20:51

I’m not a huge fan af Annabelle Karmel but my DC seem to like these Corn Quesadilla OP. The Vegetarian Society have sone good recipes on their website too Smile

Okaynowimconfused · 14/04/2018 21:13

We eat meat 2-4 times a week. The DC less so because they aren't keen on the texture.

They are 3yo and 20mo.

Tuna, veg and cheese pasta bake
Roast chicken with the usual trimmings
(Leftover chicken) and pea risotto
Egg, potato, cheese & sweetcorn omelette
Lentil bolognese with pasta and cheese
Egg and homemade chips with veg

ladymelbourne1926 · 15/04/2018 09:14

My meals above are vegan :)
