Best family-friendly, healthy, not too basic or too poncy, cookbook... An impossible ask?

So, I have a kitchen full of cookbooks but fancy buying a couple of new ones.
DH and I could both, frankly, do with shedding a few pounds so some heathy recipes would be great
That does not mean I want to spiralise anything, or cook ridiculously hipster/expensive/how to source ingredients

I had a peek at Davina's latest book and it seemed too basic, Tom Kerridge's and it seemed too much about the diet substitutions. I don't want fake lasagne, I just want a book with some decent but interesting recipes that aren't based on cream and cheese (Nigel Slater in my 20s has a lot to answer for).

Anyone found any good recommendations?

I like the Jamie Oliver Family Superfood Classics book- not going to lie there are a few recipes in there that I'm unlikely to ever try - but then that's true of most books - but it has so many great ones like fajitas, fish pie, beef stew....

I lime the Leon cookbooks.
I'm currently using The Middle eastern Vegetarian Cook book and the Hugh F W more Veg.
All great cookbooks with interesting, easy enough and not too way out receipes

I got one of the Hairy Dieters book in a charity shop, and it's lovely. Recogniseable food and recipes, with tweaks that are easy to do without anyone noticing.

I've also picked up old Weightwatchers recipe books in charity shops, and they're worth a look at, for the low fat recipes. I don't care to count points or whatever, and sometimes the portion sizes are a bit too small for my gardener hubby, but I bulk his out with spuds, rice and extra veg. I can honestly say that some of our most used recipes come from these.

I second The Hairy Dieters - 'normal' healthy food. Also when I did Weightwatchers someone had calculated the points for all the recipes, v handy! The first two are the best imo

HFW Veg Everyday is a hit here.

Thanks for these - I managed to lock myself out of MN but just looking now. I like HFW food usually so might try some of the veg ones.

Love Leon food in the restuarants so good to know the books work well too.

I love Leon's Happy Salads. Full of really delicious salads that I actually want to eat.
