Thinking of getting a mixer but which one?

I have no idea how to decide, kitchenaid and kenwood are the brands I am veering towards.
They seem really expensive is it worth it to spend that much?
Please does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I have a Kenwood Major (like the Chef but bigger). My Chef didn't die, it just became too small for my needs. After 25 years, it still works so I'm keeping it for when my kids leave home and I don't have to cook for so many people.
I wouldn't bother with the mincer attachment, but apart from that I have nothing but praise for Kenwood mixers.

I have a Kenwood Chef too. Present from MIL 27 years ago. Still going strong! My sister inherited her Kenwood after Mum died, it still works and it's 50 years old!

Another vote for Kenwood chef. I got the Titanium one.

I got a Kenwood Major as a wedding present 20 years ago, and it's still going strong. It's not a "trendy" machine like the Kitchenaid, but it's a right old workhorse and I'll be sad when it finally gives up the ghost. And I'll replace it with another Kenwood.

Me too, Kenwood Chef titanium. All you will ever need, lots of fab attachments, liquidiser and food processor plus coffee/spice mill were included with mine.

I bought a Kenwood Major 6 years ago. I did consider the Kitchen aid as they are aesthetically more pleasing but after reading all the reviews I we t with the Kenwood.

It's brilliant and is worth its weight in gold. I also bought some of the attachments (the shredder/slicer and the dicing option).

The only downside is that it's too big/heavy to move around so it lives on the worktop. But that's fine as we have the space.

Kenwood Chef. I'm a professional baker and it's never let me down!

Kitchenaid. Beautiful to look at and does a fab job
