im careful what i give my ds 2.4 as his behaviour used to be terrible then i cut out avery kind of bad additive (or as much as possible)and his behaviour totally changed.

im getting really into healthy eating especially where my ds is concerned but since looking through this book i have a real strong feeling to check every thing before it passes his lips!!

its just opened my eyes to what really goes into our food and what it could do to our bodies
there is even a section on cosmetics and body products which is pretty scary. apparently talc is best avoided as it is bad for you!

juicychops what I do is cook with basic ingredients as far as possible.

More fun and cheaper too!

Harder to do when out and about tho.

Hi juicy. It's easy to get obsessive about these things, but go with Clary's suggestion; just home cook as much as possible. Try to shrug off the occasions when you can't (like when you're out all day, for instance). Children are so full of life energy, a little bit of rubbish won't do them any harm now and again (unless allergic, of course).

My midwife told me to avoid talc at all costs when I was in the hospital after having ds. She said that it's an irritant that can get in their lungs.

That made sense to me, and I've avoided it ever since.

thanks for the advice. il let him have treats occasionally but the way he is now, he gets so excited just having fruit! il just do my best and make as much from basic ingredients as you have both suggested i think
