For what purpose? Taste you mean?

HuwEdwards · 03/05/2007 12:58

blimey - are these things considered 'bad'??

MrsBadger · 03/05/2007 13:00

well arrowroots, unlike rusks, don't imemdiately turn to mush when dipped in tea, so they win on that score

oh, did you mean for babies?

Nbg · 03/05/2007 13:09

Yeah for babies. Should have put this in weaning.

I've never given my children rusks but I heard somewhere that arrowroot biscuits were good as they calm your stomach?

wtf? they're about as calming as a rich tea.

No point to either IMO - if you do biscuits just give 'em biscuits, don't spend a fortune on special baby ones; if you dont do biscuits give 'em ricecakes or ryvita or fruit or something

Nbg · 03/05/2007 13:19

ahhh ryvita. He wont entertain rice cakes at all and I know rusks are filled with sugar.

Rusks are totally gross. A friend gave dd one once when she was a baby and after about 20 minutes sucking on the damn thing she was covered in it from head to toe. ugh.

I quite like arrowroot biscuits

MrsBadger · 03/05/2007 13:27

or try any old crackers - I like Crackerwheat (I think - much lighetr than Ryvita) but watch the salt content. Or those French Toast ones
Are Bath Olivers salted? can't rememeber.

Nbg · 03/05/2007 13:38

Ooo yeah Crackerwheat is yummy.
