Dd just rejected mine which was the first time I ever made it but I thought it tasted nice. Thanks

Wholegrain mustard, nutmeg, and black pepper in the sauce.

Always more cheese than you think necessary!
Cook off the flour thoroughly before gradually adding the milk for the white sauce.
I always add a pinch or 2 of nutmeg to the cheese sauce
I quite often add fried leeks, chopped up crispy bacon and sweet corn
When all together in the dish, sprinkle over with grated cheese, black pepper and panko breadcrumbs
