How can I rescue very crumbly flapjack?

Have just made some from a different recipe than normal. This is apparently a low sugar recipe.

Kave taken it out of oven and it is all crumbly and dry.

Can I remake it with something to bind it together?Like syrup or something?

Syrup will do that, yes.

fizzbuzz · 26/04/2007 15:49

Do I just bung it all back in pan, and heat up with syrup, and shove back in oven?

No no no. Crumble it all up and stir it into ice cream. Yum.

put it on the top of some fruit - instant crumble

mumto3girls · 26/04/2007 15:57

stir it into chocolate!!

fizzbuzz · 26/04/2007 16:07

There is tonnes of it!! Way too much for ice cream, or chocolate.

Thanks for suggestions but just want flapjack, rather than crumbjack

Make into very lovely cheesecake?

willywonka · 26/04/2007 16:10

Would be inclined to try a syrup and melted butter mix and to put the result into the fridge to chill - bit like cheesecake base. Good luck!!

fizzbuzz · 26/04/2007 16:10

But how do I make it back into normal flapjack?

At the Wonka factory, the theory and the reality are two very separate worlds...
