What ridiculous number of Easter Eggs will your child be getting tomorrow?

I've bought them two small ones each from the "Easter Bunny". My mum has bought them clothes instead this year as she knows they always get far too many. On top of the two we are giving them, I know they will get at least another 4. That's 6!! . That will last them until Christmas!!
The other problem I have is the fact that I know that I will be picking at them too - without them knowing, or even noticing

ds has 5.

dd has 7. She has 2 more than ds as she got one at school & another at her out of schools club.

They came from, my parents, PIL, Great grandma (aka Granny Sweetie) My sister & a small bucket with flumps & stickers in from us, not really an egg but just a gift I suppose.

They will be allowed one tomorrow & also a bunny & some eggs that the Easter Bunny will leave for them tonight.

So the other 10 easter eggs will be split between going with my aunt to the children's ward & we will melt some down to make krispie buns.

They get far too many, it's ridiculous.

fireflyfairy2 · 07/04/2007 19:55

The ones the Easter Bunny will leave are mini eggs... not proper Easter Eggs!!

Trinityrhino · 07/04/2007 19:56

dd1 and dd2 - 2 medium sized eggs each

dd3 one that I will eat

Roseanna · 07/04/2007 19:56

My ten year old son gave up chocolate as a New Year's Resolution and has stuck to it!! We've had to get him some jelly bean eggs to hide in the garden instead. The grandparents will no doubt have bought huge amounts of choc. so the little one will gorge himself on double helpings! He's really enjoying his brother's abstinence.
I find it bizarre because I was raised a Catholic and always tried to give up something for Lent, whereas we are not raising our boys in any religion at all and DS1 is imposing abstinence on himself!

LittleSarah · 07/04/2007 19:57

I have bought dd (3) one chocolate rabbit and some milk chocolate buttons (fancy ones!). She will probably get one or two from her grandparents but as it is her birthday on Tuesday (party tomorrow) Easter isn't really getting a look in!

Hulababy · 07/04/2007 19:58

1 or 2 max for DD. We haven't bought her an egg - got her Peter Pan DVD instead. And have asked grandparents to get books, music or DVDs instead too rather than more chocolate. My sister always buys her an egg, and she normally ends up with another one too. She has already been given a beautiful dress from great grandparents.

BizzyDint · 07/04/2007 19:58

well after dropping huge hints that DCs would prefer a £1 from each person so they can spend it on what they want we have ended up with 9 eggs each of various sizes and 2 small bunnies!! Thankfuly we bought them an outfit each and are taking them to see scooby doo stage show. but still we now have 27 eggs in our house

DimpledThighs · 07/04/2007 20:09

2 and no presents.

LazyLine · 07/04/2007 20:16

DS has 2 small green & blacks dark choc ones (off dairy). I was sent some money to get him something but got him some books instead of more chocolate as he has a supply of dairy free stuff anyway.

McCadburysDreamyegg · 07/04/2007 20:18

DD has one big one Ds has one little one and a chocolate chick. They will both get a few mini ones on their easter egg hunt, oh I forgot DD has a little one from her friend but ........... htye are getting a real live easter bunny!!!!!!!!!! He's just arrived

expatinscotland · 07/04/2007 20:18

1 each.

The rest I have taken a rolling pin to. Crush them into bits, pop them in the freezer and use them in my baking.

FairyEdwards · 07/04/2007 20:20

so we either buy them loads of stuff because christmas has been and gone or we are all smug about how little chocolate we give our little darlings?

expatinscotland · 07/04/2007 20:20

My children are 3 and 1. Not exactly able to eat all that chocolate.

FairyEdwards · 07/04/2007 20:24

wasn't being bitching just pointing out the divide!

Hulababy · 07/04/2007 20:35

We aren't smug about restricting the chocolate eggs - just we have a big family so she'd end up with loads and it'd get wasted or DH/me would end up eating it. Books, CDs and DVDs seem a better bet for us - nothing to do with long time since Christmas either as DD's birthday was only 3 days ago. Just everyone likes to buy her an Easter gift as well as birthday, and this works for us.

EasterSparklerEgg · 07/04/2007 20:53

Roseanna - I am at your son. That is very good going. Coming up for four months!! Well done to him. I can barely go four hours!
