Lamb Roast leftovers

OK, on Wednesday I bought a lamb joint and roasted it for tea. The centre was very bloody still, so we cut off either sides.

I now have about 600g left. What can I do with it? I don't usually like lamb curries and my dh doesn't like shepherds pie.

Is it possible to reheat it and have another roast?

I make Hotpot or Moroccan lamb with cous cous and pitta (jar sauce or make your own). Or just another roast/hot meat sandwiches.

Thanks. So how do I heat it for another roast?

Noodle soup. Boil up the lamb with onions ginger and garlic. Then when done add noodles, fresh herbs, veg, soy sauce chillies whatever. Tastes so good.

Blend up some ginger, lemon grass, chilli and garlic and add some soy, lime juice, rice wine vinegar and fish sauce and use that as a marinade with the sliced lamb then have a warm Thai salad with whatever you like in it!

How can a person who likes a roast lamb dinner not like shepherds pie?

He's not keen on mashed potato. He'd eat it but I think it would be easier for me just to heat it up and have another roast.

So, do I put it back in the oven (I guess under foil). For how long and what temperature?

Mix up some gravy and then pour over sliced lamb and heat in the oven in a covered dish for 30 mins. Done.

I had an absolutely lovely sandwich once with leftover lamb and a bit of gravy. Mmmm.

Thanks all. I reheated it with gravy and it was lovely. What an excellent tip!

For next time ...

I do one of two things:

Lamb wraps (cut lamb up and fry off in whatever spices and garlic then wrap with chargrilled wraps and some yoghurt or chilli dressing)

Lamb ragu: make a bolognese sauce with the lamb, slow cook it then have it with fresh tagliatelle

Good, old-fashioned shepherd's pie?
