Has anyone tried it? Or am I being stupidly thick.

Have pork chops cooking at min & fancy an egg too, but can't be arsed dirtying another pan

If not I shall go without an egg!

have a go? though wouldn't it slide off into the fat collecting bit?

Hulababy · 29/03/2007 17:54

I have one. Use it for steak and tuna mainly.

Never tried egg. Will it not slide off - mine is slightly sloped.

scatterbrain · 29/03/2007 17:55

Use mine ALL the time - but agree with Fio - only birds can MAKE eggs ! You prob could fry and egg on it - it will be very hot - and should seal on contact - but beware of run off is all I'd say !

zippitippitoes · 29/03/2007 17:55

an egg would mess it up as there is no fat

Overrun · 29/03/2007 17:55

This is a classic MN question, and it has made me chuckle, but sorry, I don't own one, so can't answer your question.

fireflyfairy2 · 29/03/2007 17:56

Have checked, and am definitely not a chicken

Yeah I suppose it might slide off.... but maybe if I held it evenly??

Damn it, my plate shall remain eggless.

It appears that there is only one way to find out.

If it works, let us know and we will all be at it

If it doesn't work, you've got lots of clearing up to do and we can all have a good laugh

Propped it up with Adrian Mole "The Cappuccino Years"

A frying pan would be cheaper, but laziness factored into my reasoning tonight
