scone dough is too 'doughy' - what to do?

i was careful to use the right kind of flour, and to measure everything correctly. yet when i mixed it all up, it is all very doughy and sticky - what can i do to save my dough?

(i tried to flatten it out to cut out the scones, but it won't work..)

add a bit more flour to absorb some of the stickyness. Not too much . Then put in fridge to stand for a bit . Before rolling.

It only needs to be in fridge short while just to make it easier to roll and less sticky. Last ones I made I put in to much milk and ended up putting in more flour . Another hint is to dip your cutter in flour before putting in the dough. Hope they work out !
