Hi, I'm going to be cooking for my extended family a few times a week for 3 weeks. They are about 15, 9 of them children between 5 and 12. They are mostly very good eaters but they will not have anything spicy (hot) or too exotic (sorry, I'm totally the opposite in this!). We'll be in Spain, so I guess dishes can't rely on British ingredients either.

I'm both excited and scared about doing this. Can you help me with any recipes, hints or tips? Thanks!

Baked chicken thighs, baked potato wedges (only works if you have big oven) and a few side salads - assuming this is summer and not over christmas.

Will you have a bbq? Easy to sling on a bunch of sausages, chicken skewers and lamb chops to eat in pittas. Accompany with tzatziki, classic salad.

Couple of massive homemade pizzas, garlic bread, salads.

Cooking for a similar number - though all adults - in spain Melon and ham made a great starter as did ready made gaspacho.

Does it have to be cooking or can you do a BBQ with a range of things like burgers/sausages for the less exotic eaters and some lovely fish?

Jackets with different toppings where people can help themselves to their preferences.

Couple of roast chickens and or oven baked ham served with fresh bread and lots of salad choices.
