Connie, love the name!

foxinsocks · 21/03/2007 14:25

everyone has their own list

I'm sure I allow some foods that are on other people's devil lists and vice versa

nickytwotimes · 21/03/2007 14:26

cherry coke, even thoughit was established yesterday that a 250ml serving counts as one of your 5 a day

twelveyeargap · 21/03/2007 14:28

Personally I couldn't give a fart what people feed their kids (or even my kids when they visit the homes of these turkey twizzling shysters), yet I seem to be drawn to these threads for some inexplicable reason. (Usually to be the voice of reason, I thought.) I might make a "subjects to avoid" list as well. Like Working mums vs SAHM, alcohol in pregnancy etc.

Leave It, She

nickytwotimes · 21/03/2007 14:35

12year, there was one of those yesterday. quite amusing

Marne · 21/03/2007 14:35

oh i love these food threads, evryone gets shirty about whats rite and wrong to feed there kids

I believe that kids should have a balanced diet which includes Fat and sugar as well as the good stuff.

My kids eat their 5 a day most days but they also eat the so called bad stuff (crisps and choc etc..) but in moderation.

twelveyeargap · 21/03/2007 14:41

Ah, late as usual...

I shall go and find it.

You can't win whatever you do

expatinscotland · 21/03/2007 14:44

There is only one in our home: artificial sweetners.

RubberDuck · 21/03/2007 14:45

I've missed the bit where gravy granules were devil food, where is that?

I have to say, I'm not sure I really want to know, as I don't like the taste homemade gravy (it's one of the few things I don't prefer homemade!) and I can't imagine bangers and mash without gravy!!

Spidermama · 21/03/2007 14:48

Cheese strings.
Fray Bentos.
Tinned potatoes.
Heinz bangers ' beans.

twelveyeargap · 21/03/2007 15:05

Gravy granules for salt content I believe, though it's usually on threads about small kiddies.

DH loves fray bentos pies. I think they look and taste like cat food... His idea of comfort food is a fray bentos pie and tinned new potatoes.

Why do Brits eat spagetti 'hoops' with toast?!

OMG!

Talk about carb overload

twelveyeargap · 21/03/2007 15:14

I love spaghetti hoops on toast. It's the tomato sauce/ melted butter combo that turns me on. My mother never had them in the house. I learned that one at my friend's house where they ate chips every night, including with their Sunday roast.

expatinscotland · 21/03/2007 15:15

Oh boak!

That bread just spread with butter and not even toasted, another weirdy British thing DH eats.

As a snack!?

that's not a snack, that's prison food.

clairemow · 21/03/2007 16:17

why do Scots like to eat fried marsbars?? DH is a Scot. I do worry.
