When you say processed food, what exactly are you referring to? I ask because so many foods are processed - e.g. tinned tomatoes, houmous, yoghurt, porridge oats - they are all processed - so would be good to know what exactly you are trying to cut down

I guess we're trying to avoid processed meats, cut down on red meat....

ministry of food is a good back-to-basics cookbook.

No book... but we eat "non processed".
That is: anything with 3-5 ingredients is ok as long as I know what it is. If I don't know what an ingredient is (or some are in brackets) its out! Remember, usually the greatest ingredient is listed first.
We are Monday to Friday vegetarians.
We eat a lot of beans, lentils and chickpeas- all dried and soaked when necessary. We have whole grain rice and pasta (DC's not always on board!).
I buy most of my "store cupboard foods" from a company called Suma Organic- they have great products & it's a truly inspiring company.... (nope, don't work for them but would if I could!!! )
It's had a huge impact on our overall health, waistline and the wallet! Grin
