probably but sounds abit bleugh! - just microwave a large potato for 6-7 mins and chuck that in.

sunnywong · 15/03/2007 07:28

no
you can't
unless you want me to send the food police round to sort you out

yuck

Why not go the whole hog and use Smash ?

If you are going to take the time to make fish cakes then boling and mashing a few psotatoes wouldn't be that bad and yoi u wouldn't need that many. So go down to your green groceries and get some , miss out on something else today if money is an issue

i dont think tinned potatoes would mash as well ad they probably wont stick together and you will have fish mush instead.

nappyaddict · 15/03/2007 14:21

it was more of a fact that i HATE peeling potatoes lol. so would smash work

I dont know whether smash would work - it might be too soft , give it ago if you must and report back. .

To add a bit of flavour add some Djorn mustard .

i think smash would be too soft for fish cakes too. i used normal potatoes in the end. smash for fish pie though ... would that work?

maydo - but surely - it tastes gross. I think in frozen food department you can buy frozen mash!

Themis · 16/03/2007 08:07

Frozen mash ! - pure laziness

Furball · 16/03/2007 09:26

well it is - but it's got to be a little better than tinned or smash
