1 dessert spoon = 10 ml
1 cup = 250 ml

so 25

Make sure they are level spoons. A cup is about the size of a small grannies teacup if you can picture that.

oh okay, so 1 cup is 250mls in a measuring bowl? I have one of them! Thanks

come back and tell us what your pizza was like

Monkeytrousers · 03/03/2007 18:23

well when I left my dough for 45 minutes it was the same size. The topping was lovely. Think I need some practice in making the base a but thinner..

was it the sort of dough that needed yeast? maybe you didn't have it in a warm enough place. the airing cupboard is good for that i hear.

Winestein · 03/03/2007 21:46

or, if you cover it with a damp teatowel on top of the oven (lit) that you are going to bake it in works too

Monkeytrousers · 03/03/2007 22:09

I put it in the airing cupboard. Not sure if I used the right kind of yeast. Will have another crack at it next week.

yeast loses its effectiveness if it is stored too long. could that be part of the problem? (i only know this cause i am old enough to do actual cookery at school and really enjoyed it)
