Meals your teenager can make

Loved this idea from the Mumsnetter who shared the idea of a sandwich toaster omelette, which I thought would be an ace after school snack my 14yo dd could make. Always looking for other easy meals she can knock up post school before I come home - so anyone got any other recipes their teenagers find easy to make?
On our part - we love those frozen dumplings you can buy in Chinese supermarkets. She can fry and then steam those really quickly (about 5 mins) so they're a really easy snack when she comes home starving.

Pita bread pizzas - pita bread, tomato puree (or red pesto, or sauce from a jar), grated cheese and any other toppings, in the microwave for two minutes.

Cheese on toast
Nutella on toast
French toast
Cereal
Grin

Have been considering a toastie maker for after school snacks.

Toastie maker's a great idea. We have a George Foreman grill which she can use too - easier than the big grill on the oven.

Spicy potatoes

Cut some potatoes wash and marinate in Nando's peri peri powder spice mix
Microwave for 5 minutes until half cooked and then cook in actifry or oven
Add a little veg oil to make them crispier and cook

Dough-balls are the rage. She has a recipe she found online.

kittykitty · 22/02/2017 17:21

Do you have the dough balls recipe?

Mine loves fried eggs & bacon, quick and easy and very little washing up.

@KittyKitty, this one on bakingmad.com.

Teen DS goes for things like sausage sandwiches & mega-omelletes.

George Foreman grill is great for cheese panini.

Or anyone with any baking ability, it says easy but I could prove this wrong!

Do you make this and freeze, so they only do the baking bit? If so at which point do you freeze them? Also I have a bread maker, do I take them out of this before I put it in a greased bowl?
Thank you (from my disappointed kids, if I attempt this without seeking advice first)

I have taught DD (18) how to make a basic tomato sauce so she can make spag bol and spaghetti and meatballs.

She also cooks sausages, eggs, omelettes and pasta in a sauce.
