My DD birthday on Saturday and I was looking for food ideas that would suit both adults and children so far I have, sausage rolls, sandwiches, salad, mini sausages, crisps, Jelly, as you can tell not much thought has gone into this list - so I would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks

That sounds great. The kids never eat very much at parties anyway because they're so excited and I always end up over-catering.

In terms of salad, I always find that cut up cucumber and carrot are good (and better than baby tomatoes which go all over the clothes when bitten!). If you were looking for another savoury or for veggies/those who don't eat pork, tomato and cheese pizza cut up into squares is good.

Hope you have a great time.

Thanks foxinsocks - great name by the way!

We do have a little girl who is coming and she doesn't eat pork so pizza is good idea - thanks.

Grapes, crackers, babybel cheese, we recently went to a party where they were all given a cadburys choc corner desert and bowls of strawberries - yummy!!!!

you could make some mini burgers and fishcakes.
Foot long cheese straws are always a winner

watermelon cut into small cubes bite size, always go down well. Also microwave popcorn from Costco. cheese and pineapple [watch out for sticks though], cubes of cheese, cucumber sticks, red pepper raw in small chunks,

Hope she and you have a great time

Supersonic - this is too late for your party, I hope it went well by the way, but an idea for others who may read this thread. For my dd1's 3rd birthday I made fairy buns and left them plain. Then provided butter icing, sugar strands, jelly tots etc for the children to ice themselves - they loved it and it saved me a job!!

Too late as well but a nice healthy pud is frozen bananas, freeze small bananas on sticks, dip in chocolate white is nice and sprinkle with 100s and 1000s! Also popular is a plate of green jelly all smashed up, put half a tinned pear into it and use currants for eyes and nose, and ears and a piece of licorice lace for tail, mini mice! Roll out puff pastry very thinly, spread with marmite, cut into long strips and roll up. Cut each strip into small pieces and shape out to look like a snail, brush with a little egg and bake hot oven 8 for 6/7 mins! Put a large tbs treacle in a pan add a knob of butter and a large handful of marshmallows, melt slowly. Add rice crispies and put into papaer cases, yummy!
