Recipes for batch cooking?

What's your favourite please?

One important caveat is that the food needs to be very soft and/or lump free so that it can be easily eaten by an elderly person with swallowing difficulties. Some good vegetarian recipes would be useful too.

Many thanks. Smile

I usually cook braised beef (just use oxtail soup to flavour) with carrots and onions

Pork chops in sauce - cooked very slowly so they soften

Curry's - hotpot - usual Shepard's pies etc

Favourites from when my kids were little.

Sorry, I should have made clear that the food is for someone who has difficulty chewing as well as swallowing, so even soft lumps of meat are out. Xx

I've just eaten this bean dish which I cooked before our kitchen was ripped out:

Very tasty and froze well. Served it with rice and some avocado and cheese.

I made cauliflower cheese soup tonight. I fried an onion, then added a cauliflower chopped into big cubes, almost covered with milk and simmered with a lid on until soft then puréed with a stick blender. I added cheddar, tsp Dijon mustard and a grating of nutmeg. Was delicious! It would be easy to make more and freezes well.
