Flumpy tina exactly, haggis tatties and neeps would mean swede to an englishman, personaly I don't like it so I stick to tatties. You don't mash it together with tatties before serving you let people do that on the plate . Haggis, neeps and tatties

Thankyou Skribble for bringing this thread back on track.

It was a terribly sensible and informative root vegetable cookery thread until it got hijacked by Whizz and her silliness (although I did like parboil a peruvian).

I think my swede was left in the bottom of the fridge as I was unsuccessful at buying a Haggis on Burns night (I'm not Scottish but I luuuurve Haggis). This time delay may also explain why it tasted so gopping today.

DH always roasts swede. He usess carrots, parsnips and swede all chopped into sticks, they taste lovely.
