yes many a thread on this

No you cant get them, the general concesus seems to be to get tiny soup pasta form tesco

BUT my ds3 always like d sucking a lrger shape wiht butter on it and mushing it wiht his gums

OR try couscous - really quick

nutcracker · 13/06/2004 18:49

I used them with Dd's (now 6 and 4) but when i had Ds (now 18mths) I couldn't find them anywhere.

In the end i just found the smallest pasta i could find and used that.

SoupDragon · 13/06/2004 18:51

Organix used to do them too.

princesspeahead · 13/06/2004 20:28

the baby food people don't make them any more. but standard italian pasta makers do - for soup. tescos etc don't stock them but if you have a local italian or greek supermarket or deli, they usually have them. eg if you are in west london, adamou and sons on chiswick high road do them. I've just bought a load back from greece....

i give mine fusilli its not tiny as baby pasta but it is still small and spiral which makes it easy for them to hold hth
oh nearly forgot when cooking pasta for babys cook it for five to ten minuites longer because it has something in it which can make them poorly if not thorogh cooked i think its the egg

poppyseed · 13/06/2004 20:42

Boots used to sell star shaped pasta when I had dd (ok 5 years ago!) but they have stopped doing that now too! I have had some from a health food shop that I stumbled across, perhaps you could try your local ones? Meanwhile I am going to investigate Tesco tomorrow!!!!

skerriesmum · 13/06/2004 20:52

I've found very small thin pasta for soup in Tesco, fusilli?

skerriesmum · 13/06/2004 20:52

not fusilli, it's called something else

poppyseed · 13/06/2004 20:52

Excellent!

Judd · 13/06/2004 21:12

Its farfalline (little butterflies) the one at Tesco's. Its in a blue packet in the Authentic Pasta range. Its brill - only takes 4 minutes to cook!

poppyseed · 13/06/2004 21:13

even more excellent! sorry, seem to have hijacked thread. Will crawl away and look for my clubcard

Found the packet, it's called filini (little threads!)

elliott · 14/06/2004 12:11

In fact ds2 tasted these for the first time yesterday - loved them!
But I don't understand why its so difficult to get hold of little pasta - the baby food companies don't usually miss a trick like that!

codswallop · 14/06/2004 12:25
