I know I will need chicken breast and breadcrumbs. I think I might need to flour them and then dip in egg to make breadcrumbs stick, is this the right order?
Also I want to bake them, is this okay, or are they nicer fried, which I am happy to do if better, it is a treat after all

I make the Dinner Lady ones

chop up chicken in to small pieces
mix breadcrumbs (slightly toasted bread to make it crispier) with garlic powder and paprika
whisk eggg and bit of milk in bowl

put chicken in egg mixture and mix

put breadcrumbs in plastic bag and add chicken and shake about (dd1 does this bit)

cook for about 10 mins at 200 (iirc)

Great that sounds good, so nobody bothers to dust the chicken in flour then? I was thinking of doing that with the flour being seasoned with some paprika.
Naily, I take it you crush the cornflakes up

I've got that book too, very good, have made loads of things from it.

I flour and then egg and then breadcrumb mine sometimes. Others I don't bother. I season with celery salt and sometimes use seasame seeds instead of bread crumbs.

Thank you all, they went down very well, and they are so easy. Will certainly make them again, although not too often, as dc's eat naked chicken already, I don't want to get them into thinking the only way to eat it is with breadcrumbs on.
