what would you serve up at this little ones party?

We've got for various reasons a varied age range at a party and have a big room in our village hall for it. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a theme. What would you serve up for food for kids of the ages below?

• likewise, what games/music would be appropriate ? It's 2-4 on a Saturday and we've asked for a parent to be present if they are under 6 which most are! Thanks very much for any ideas!

I'd just do my normal party food, possibly with two baby friendly sandwich types depending on whether the babies are first born or not!

So

Pizza
Crisps
Cut up grapes
Cucumber/carrot sticks
Little biscuits like mini party rings /mini fairy cakes

Games I'd go with what the three yr old's can do, so musical bumps and a treasure hunt of lollipops.

I don't think you need to do good for parents, but I've always done some cake and juice/tea for parents.

For a hungry caterpillar party I would do the different fruits in the book, plus cheese sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, crisps, some 'baby' crisps, carrot/cucumber sticks, cheese sticks, biscuits and fairy cakes

Tea and biscuits for the parents.

Get the 10 and 8 year olds to help with the games for the smaller ones, have a nice gift eg book, to give the "helpers" at the end.

Games are going to be difficult with so many little ones, but Pass the Parcel, In and Out the Dusty Windows, Simon Says, Oranges and Lemons, What's the Time Mr Wolf, Musical Cushions, Blind Man's Buff, would all be worth a try.

Some fantastic ideas here but not the stupid pretentious "BLW" party on the thread you hopefully jokingly linked up there!!!

We had a big slow cooker full of chili, a pot of rice and jacket potatoes. That was it!! Kids and adults loved it, everyone went for seconds and thirds.
Keep it simple, you'll love it!!

"Stick the head on the caterpillar" a version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but adapted for small people.

As an aside, do you have confirmation they are coming? 2-4pm would be the worst time for mine under 4 years as they would usually nap then so be tired. Don't most 1/2/3 year olds nap after lunch?

That's a good point. Mine does too but is open to other possibilities. Will check time with childminder they are from her group/s and she will know their daily schedule best
