Do your children eat less than perfect fruit?

Or are they fussy like mine. DS#1 will eat 5 or apples a day given the choice. But will do without if the fruit is slightly, ever-so-slightly damaged - even so much as a pea-sized bruise. As for cutting the bad bit out...not a chance! I can get away with it with DS#2 but no-one else. DD doesn't like brown bananas but I can understand that I think. It even extends to fruit from my parents trees - they won't touch windfalls at all!

Drives me mad. Are all kids like this? Can we blame the supermarkets??? Please.

I have always bought organic and got loads from my mum/aunt and sister so they are used to less than perfect. I do agree about the brown bits of banana, and will cut out bad bits but other than that they are fine.

Yes I blame the supermarkets - all those shiny skins on display. I decided to switch to organic and bought strawberries that neither of mine would touch because they didn't look plastic and shiny . I told them that's what fruit should look like
