Nursery food- am I right to complain?

Thinking about having a moan to my nursery as I feel that DD (8 1/2 mon) is not getting a balanced nutritional diet (as it says in their handbook) for example one day she was given fish fingers, chips & beans pureed (yuk!) and ice cream! She is rarely given veg or fruit.
I really want what is best for her & try to buy organic stuff, & am still bf, so she does need extra iron & vits.
Would you complain? They will prob say "if you don't like it bring your own"

Just keeping you posted.
Manager is looking into providing menus next term. In the mean time am sending DD in with her meals. Don't trust them a bit now. Originally Key workers agreed with me & said they would give her unprocessed things at tea if I brought lunch in & they gave her a jam sandwich! Now I know that is not 'bad' but I hardly think it's 'good' so am now sending in all food for her.
They are bringing it up in their staff meeting, so I think I have really started something. Woops!

That example of a meal for 8.5 mo is awful. Even jam sandwichs, my ds is nearly four and has never had a jam sandwich (though sometimes honey on a bread bun if he's hungry after tea).

I feel guilty gving my dd fish fingers and chips and she'd 20 mo. And I know what I'm buying, there's fish fingers and there's fish fingers, IYSWIM.

Good for you for "starting something"!! I hope it gets sorted.
