What could I take to France to eat as soon as we get there? The dcs will be starving!

We are leaving home at 6am, then a 2 hour drive, 3 hour ferry, and then 5.5 hour drive!! I will take breakfast and lunch plus snacks with me, but was looking for inspiration for supper?? I think we should hey to the villa between 6 and 7, dcs are 4 and 1. Tia

I'd take fresh pasta. Quick, easy and filling.

Ah, of course, fresh pasta!! Great choice! I had thought about pasta, but thought by the time it was cooked they would be screaming for food! Thanks v much. (Why didn't I think of that!)

In the past I have made Bol sauce and frozen it then put it in the cool box. Once arrive at the give then just need to cook pasta and heat sauce.

Te driving through France and we have done this for nearly 20 years. Please allow 50m per hour overall - 5there will be fast bits and slow bits and it takes longer than the guide books say. Make SuperU your friend and fill up when you see one (cheapest petrol). Buy BNBNs en route. Take a litre of frozen milk and it will ne defrosted when you arrive. Our holiday first night staple used to be pasta and pesto, follows by angel delight, sachets of hot chocolate are good too.
