My DS is almost 9 months and i struggle to think of different things to give him for tea. He has a homemade meal for lunch with a yoghurt for pudding, milk at about 2.30 then for tea i get stuck. He's been recently having toast and a pudding or yoghurt but i dont know what else to give him.

What do you give your 9 month for tea?

He is the same age as my baby.

Unfortunately he's at nursery for tea- so i cant give him what we have. But would another home made meal be suitable or would it be took much?
For lunch he may have chicken w/sweet potato or courgette gratin etc.
Do you think i should give him a lighter lunch and then the meal for tea?

I think at the age he is, the milk is more important anyway! Don't worry about it, he will only eat as much as he wants anyway. When he is full he will stop opening his mouth!

Theres some good ideas on following website.
Milupa
Cow and gate
Baby Centre,

Sorry cannot do links to these, it appears to be a feat beyond me, but there are some yummy ideas on there.

I give ds (nearly 9 months) a protein meal for lunch. Chicken casserole or fish and veg or something similar. Then for tea he has a carb type meal such as tomato and veg sauce and pasta. All this pureed beyond belief though as he is gagtastic

My Ds who is almost 10 months has a 'proper' homecooked lunch like stew/ fish etc and a pudding.

Then for tea it's more of a snack- he has just started to have teeny weeny jam sandwiches/ jars of fruit/ banana mashed with milk/ marmite on toast/ grated cheese/ rice pudding/ apple and custard/ those little chocolate pots in the fridge section (mmmm) etc and then a rusk to nibble when he's done.
