Best nonstick frying pan

My frying pan has had it Sad What should I get next? Budget is around fifty quid and it needs to work on induction. I'd also prefer to avoid Teflon this time around.

This thread is old now, but if you’ve landed here looking for advice on which pans to buy, we’ve recently refreshed our best frying pan page with loads of non-stick, induction-friendly options that have been tried and tested by Mumsnetters. We hope you find it useful.

I love my Le Creuset stainless steel non stick.

stargirl1701 · 12/03/2016 13:09

Le Creuset stainless steel non-stick here too.

I really rate IKEAs pans for induction hobs, they're about 1/3 of the price for comparable quality as well.

EleanorofProvence · 12/03/2016 13:16

The Le Creuset is a bit too £££ (I'm on maternity leave so watching the pennies at the moment).

I have the tefal ones they are really good

Mondrian · 12/03/2016 16:48

+1 for IKEA so far as we haven't had it for that long but I'd imagine you could get 2 or more with your budget.

stargirl1701 · 12/03/2016 19:03

I had Tefal. Both were unusable after 5 years.

twattockery · 12/03/2016 20:08

They all without fail get sticky after a year or so, I've started treating them as more or less disposable. Having said that, aldi were doing a stainless steel nonstick wok a couple of weeks ago which is very good indeed. Wish I'd got a spare one now!

HarrietSchulenberg · 12/03/2016 20:12

Another vote for Ikea. My lidded frying/saute pan is amazing, much better than any of the Teflon coated shite I've had over the years.
I also have an old cast iron frying pan that I bought second hand. It's black with age well seasoned, weighs a ton, and makes the best pancakes ever.

stargirl1701 · 12/03/2016 20:34

Tefal suggested that once a month you should fill your pan with water, add a dishwasher tablet and boil for 10 minutes before washing as normal. This information is not available before you buy! They offered me a 20% discount on a new pan which I declined. I bought the pans in John Lewis and they refunded me in full even after 4 years. I bought the replacement Le Creuset from them. Brilliant customer service.

Lidl (I think - maybe Aldi) had done very nice feeling induction frying pans in when I went this week, with a kind of dented base. £20 iirc. Worth a look

LowDudgeon · 12/03/2016 20:39

Some, not done, grrr
