are they any good? i love lamb shanks but they are quite expensive at my local farmers' market (cos they're organic blah blah). but then gordon ramsey is always banging on about how cheap they are...
i'm seeing a lot of lamb shank recipes that look delicious, so can i ask how much they cost at a normal butchers and also are the costco ones any good? i ALWAYS see posh-looking people with them in the trolley...

i.ve bought a pack of 2 fresh ones at tesco for about £4 and i.ve also had the shrik-wrapped ones in mint gravy from tesco, they were alright but prefer to buy fresh and cook from scratch

might i also offer you 'helmet' and 'lid' to snigger at, greensleeves? two of the snurkiest words in the english language with my compliments...

and £4, bubbles? that's more like it... they are at least double that when they're organic. (tbh i'd have thought that lamb must be fairly innocent of chemicals just cos they don't live that long, iykim?)

2 lamb shanks in waitrose are only about £4 .. supermarket ones are fine .. especially as you slow-cook them

this is good to hear... cheers. suspect we'll be eating a lot of lamb shanks this winter.
