a dead one, that is. preferably, in fact, definitely skinned and trussed.
the place we normally get it from has sold out, completely forgot to order it before now. [idiot emoticon]

They are Inverurie, their meat is wonderful,so reckon goose would be too.

vitomum · 05/12/2006 22:23

haven't you heard? goose is for posers - nigella says so.

SherlockLGJ · 05/12/2006 22:24

in Inverurie even.

Goose and duck are for people who can think for themselves actually.

Marks and Spencers?

treacletart · 05/12/2006 22:33

What do you think Nigella would think of Iceland Boozy Goose Part-boned goose with a chicken, port and apple stuffing. £5.36 per kg ?

SherlockLGJ · 05/12/2006 22:34

She would say that the last time that bird saw a goose was at a pantomime.

whensantagotstuckupAITCHimney · 05/12/2006 22:36

really? nigella is Wrong. we had it for the first time last year and it was delicious, infinitely nicer than turkey. we're getting a ham as well, though, as the geese are not huge and, as you in particular know, vitomum, we are a very greedy family...
off to look at the inverurie website now, thanks. and i'm going to ask at M&S as well.

yikes, was answering vitomum there, not sherlock. those boned things look wild, though, don't they? we live quite near an iceland, i'm going to buy one after christmas when they sell them off and will report back.
