Just that. Blush Forgot about a 500ml pot of natural yoghurt and it's gone Sour.

Would it work in scones? Any and all ideas very welcome.

I think sour milk/yoghurt is fine for scones. So my mum says Smile

There are some Indian dishes using "sour curd". Which is what you have I believe.
Some ideas in these recipes

Sorry - can't seem to do links at all now from my iPad.
If you google Khatti dahi you should find some recipes.

Bin it. The soured milk/yogurt used for baking is not stuff that gone off.

Thatrabbittrickedme · 13/10/2015 19:49

Bin! Bleurgh at the thought of eating it in any form!

AdoraBell · 13/10/2015 20:14

Thanks Fawn I'll have a look and see if it's suitable.

You can use sour milk in scones but once its curdled or separated its not usable, but soured yoghurt not so much.

Bunbaker · 13/10/2015 23:07

Yogurt is sour anyway. If it has gone off do you and your family a favour and throw it away. A pot of yogurt doesn't cost very much. Is it worth making people ill for the sake of a few pence?
