Question for baking experts - condensed milk cake - collapses!

I found a Brazilian recipe for a condensed milk cake (ingredients/method below) but when I tried it earlier the cake rose amazingly in the oven, a good 3 or 4 inches, then collapsed very fast when I took it out of the oven and was less than an inch thick. Is there something I did wrong, a technique I don't know or can i add something to make it stay up?

1 tin of condensed milk
300 ml whole milk
150g flour
150g sugar
3 large egss
3 soup spoons of margarine (60g)
200ml coconut milk

Shove all the ingredients above into a blender, blend for a couple of mins till smooth and very runny, pour into a ring cake tin, cook at 180c for 40-60 mins till browned and firm.

If anyone wants to try it, you then make a topping using another tin of condensed milk, 100gm dessicated coconut, 1 soup spoon of margarine - heat till bubbling, then pour over the cake.

It's called a "Husband Catcher"!

Thanks!

Seems like a lot of liquid, and not very much flour? 300 ml milk, 200 ml coconut milk, plus the condensed milk, so over half a litre of liquid but only 150 gr flour. (For comparison purposes, Mary Berry does a fruit cake with a tin condensed milk in but has 225 gr SR flour, plus sugar, fruit and eggs. But the only liquid is the condensed milk.

So I think the recipe could be at fault.

Or -- it could be that it is more of a batter mix, or a sort of clafoutis, rather than a cake as we know it. So perhaps it's supposed to be flattish? What did it taste like? Clafoutis is a fairly solid batter pudding.

And you tell me this after I find out I'm diabetic? Wink

It does look like a very solid substantial batter pudding! Quite similar looking to a clsfoutis but thicker and withiut the fruit, if course.nThe topping would make it v.gooey too, i would say. I fancy it no end but am on a low day!
