Quick question about those filled pasta sealed packets take 5mins to cook

Hi, I bought two of those Duetto sundried tomatoes, basil & cheese in fresh egg & tomato pasta packets B1G1F. We used half of one and I'm about to use the other packet plus the left over half tonight for dinner. But reading the packet it says "once opened use within two days". I think it's been more like 5-7 days, really can't remember. It smells and looks ok and has been in the coldest part of the fridge.

Would you chance it? Not sure how prone these things are to bad bugs, especially as the kids will eat it.

I would worry about what else is in a 'fresh' pasta if it looks normal after 5 - 7 days in an open packet tbh .... normally the pasta goes dry and horrible

sorry that wasn't an answer would it .. I wouldn't chance it .. but have you any frozen veg? you could mix frozen veg in with the pasta and put the sauce over the top of it all

thx. I've just up'd my veg for the sauce to make up for it. You're right, at closer inspection it was a bit dry!

Are they really that bad? Must admit I've not looked at their ingredients! Just so quick when running late.

They aren't 'bad', they just tend to be a bit tasteless, ime

Ingredients don't look that bad, what I'd expect, thankfully not loads of preservatives, but they are quite high on fat. Will keep that in mind next time!

(Yes, they are a bit, NDP, but a novelty thing for kids and they think there really is 'cheese' in there! For some reason they always eat them up!)
