Hello all - I'm hoping to contribute a few cupcakes to a family party at the weekend. I'm planning on (once they're baked/cooled) spooning a small portion off the top and filling it with a spoonful of jam, and then piping the buttercream on top.
Would this work? I'm wondering if perhaps the buttercream and jam might merge and end up a buttery/jammy mess!
Any advice would be appreciated, or experience of better ways of including jam in the recipe. (I use the Mary Berry vanilla cupcake recipe.)
