Meal choices when being diagnosed with diabetes and IBS

I suffer from IBS and I am more than likely to be confirmed diabetic at the end of the week. I have NO idea about meal choices for diabetics and I have to feed five adults in the house!! And I need to lose about 2 stones if I'm honest!!.....Over to you guys......help!!!!!!!!

My IBS has gotten a lot better since I cut back on all sugars (so all refined sugars, and also things like honey and sugars in fruit) as well as following a low fodmap diet (there are lots of low fodmap blogs etc if you google it). I would have thought that cutting back on sugars would be good for the diabetes too.

One of the big things for diabetes is to watch your carbs. That should help with the IBS as well. One of my DTs has IBS and it always get worse if he eats too much wheat. Everyone is different though so what works for one may not work for another.
