I need some ideas please for my 2yo. Has completely gone off the following:

Weetabix, Rice Krispies, Cornflakes, Ready Brek, toast, porridge. Does not like eggs or beans.

Thanks very much.

Don't assume he has gone off them forever, I have to rotate breakfast too. Shreddies, coco pops and bagels are good additions. Yogurts too. If all else fails try a couple of breadsticks.

Meadow, I can sympathise, mine has always been a fussy eater, getting better slowly but breakfast is usually a bit of a pain. Mine still likes yogurt, so she always gets this. She does, some days, like rice crispies but sometimes not so do keep going back to things you think they don't like as they may re-develop the taste. In winter she liked Ready Brek (sometimes) but more so if I added a little dollop of jam or something to just put a bit more taste into the stuff, could try this. Nowadays, failing crispies, then fruit is a hopeful second try, mine loves berries, ie strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, especially if I hold some in my closed hand and make them appear as if by magic! She also seems to like the raisin and lemon pancakes, they do get picked around a bit and I'm sure she finds every raisin but does get some of the bread inside her too. Also likes kiwi fruit. I've been known to give her cheese triangles and frankfurters too if desperate!! Good luck.

Smoothies? Banana or strawberry or chocolate or a mix. Homemade in the blender and served with a bendy straw.

Like Janus I find that my DS loves kiwifruit and has done since about 9 months old (cut in half and scooped out - take them out with us for a snack too). Also grapes go down well - in fact its between grapes and peas for DS's current favourite food - round and green??? Both preferred over chocolate. Suppose peas, sweetcorn or other frozen veg wouldn't do any harm for breakfast....

How about gypsy toast? My DS refused eggs, but didn't know they were in the gypsy toast as I used to hide them. Make up an omelette mix and dip in strips of bread and fry. Yum! R

Bron - the name of the cereal is Envirokidz Orang-utan-o's and they are made by a company called Natures Path Foods.

Meadow, much sympathy, my ds goes on and off things in the same day. We are now having a chopped up bannana accompanied by a mini Babybell. It was pointed out to me that ds may not feel hungry as soon as he gets up and may feel like eating later. This turned out to be right, I stopped stressing and he started eating breakfast a little later, around 10ish. Thats OK if they are not going to Nursery and if so maybe your little one could carry this in a little box.

I give her a bottle of milk as soon as she wakes, then leave her for 1-2 hours before giving breakfast, but I still get the same result - she's just not interested in eating. I've have even cut out the morning milk to see if it makes any difference and it doesn't.
