For some reason, whilst in the cheese section of the supermarket I bought paneer. Not just one pack but two

I have come home and googled what to do with it thinking yum I love cheese. Read that you can cook with it and that its a tasty snack and some people like to keep it in the fridge and nibble on chunks.
Upon opening I have discovered it was the precursor to polystyrene. Completely devoid of any flavour and as tempting for snack purposes as eating the plastic wrapping it came in.
Can it actually be turned into something delicious or have I just been conned by pretend cheese?
